Question 1

How do I save a recipe from a YouTube video?

Accepted Answer

Paste the YouTube link into the input box. The app pulls the video's transcript and comments, then generates a structured recipe card with ingredients and step-by-step instructions. You can download it as a PDF, share the link, or email it to yourself.

Question 2

Can I convert a TikTok video to a recipe?

Accepted Answer

Yes — paste a TikTok link and the app will automatically pull the video's transcript and comments to build a structured recipe card with ingredients and steps. If the auto-extraction doesn't pick everything up, you can also copy the caption or recipe text from the comments and paste it directly.

Question 3

Does this work with Instagram Reels?

Accepted Answer

We try public Reels first. Instagram often hides posts behind a login, so if we can't read one, copy the caption or any recipe text from the comments and paste it into the input box, or upload a screenshot. The app will still generate a formatted recipe card.

Question 4

Does this work with Facebook or X?

Accepted Answer

Public posts sometimes work. If a post needs a login, copy the caption or comments that contain the recipe and paste them into the input box, or upload a screenshot of the recipe.

Question 5

Is it free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Recipe Card Maker is free to use during our beta. You can generate, download, and share recipe cards at no cost. Just paste a link or some recipe text to get started.
